Important to meet other in the same situation

The Norwegian Association of the Deafblind is hosting the European Deafblind Holiday in Norway. The President, Geir Jensen, looks forward to the Holiday in Søgne.
- All Deafblind look forward to the European Deafblind Holiday. Being Deafblind isolates you from the rest of the society. Therefore it's great and important to meet other persons in the same situation, says Jensen who is Deafblind himself.

The program contains among others lessons in folk dance, fishing trip and different excursions. But Jensen is very clear on that most important is being together. Each evening there will be social gatherings where Deafblind can exchange experiences and get to know each other across borders.

I have great expectations for these days, and I think the Holiday will be a success. We are crossing our fingers and hope the weather will be nice, Geir Jensen says.
