The founding of the European Deafblind Union 21st-22nd of October

For the purpose to unite and strengthen the position of Deafblind people in Europe

Arranged in cooperation between the interim board of the EDBU and the European Blind Union

Generel information

Conference language

The language of the conference is English with platform interpretation in Danish sign language.

Confirmation of registration

Participants will receive a written confirmation of registration. If you do not receive your confirmation of registration, please bring proof of payment to ensure registration.

Cancellation Policy

It is possible to have the participant fee refunded for cancelled registrations if a written request is received no later than the 10th of September 2003. Cancellations later than this date, results in a loss of the registration fee.

Lodging

The participants stay at Fuglsangcentret and at Danhostel near by. There will be a bus morning and evening transporting people forth and back from the Danhostel to Fuglsangcentret.

Registration fee

Participant DKK 4.500 . Interpreter/guide DKK 4.500

Currency

In Denmark only Danish Kroner (DKK) are accepted and NOT Euro.

European Deafblind Union – EDBU

Chairpersons from the Nordic deafblind organizations have established an interim board, whose goal is to arrange and call for the founding of EDBU in October 2003. The same group has worked out a draft for the constitution of EDBU. It will be sent out early spring 2003. The chairman of the group is Ove Bejsnap from Denmark.

• Information regarding arrival and departure times is to be received no later than 1st of September 2003
• Registration of participants start from 11 am the 18th of October 2003
• Home travelling after breakfast 23rd October
